With the Gold Series, Cort introduces a line of all-solid-wood acoustic guitars featuring thermally treated (“torrified”) tops and bracing. Cort calls this process “Age To Vintage,” which mimics the aging process of the top over the course of decades. This results in that wonderfully full, overtone-rich, and balanced sound right from the start—the kind you’d expect from old, well-played instruments. The very thin UV finish on the Gold Series enhances the guitar’s excellent vibrational properties. Additionally, the “Doublelock Neckjoint” was developed as another key element for achieving the best possible sound; it improves vibration transfer by securing the neck to the body with additional screws.
