ARP 2600M Few synthesizers enjoy legendary status quite like the ARP 2600. Its unique sound—immortalized in countless music productions, film scores, and soundtracks for TV shows and video games since its debut in the 1970s—remains an indispensable part of the musical landscape today. Now, this legendary synthesizer is back as a compact desktop module, meticulously crafted in Japan. Inside, it features the same analog circuitry and components found in the ARP 2600 FS reissue, bringing that authentic ARP sound into the modern era. Even the analog spring reverb and internal monitor speakers have been retained despite the reduction to approximately 60% of the original size, performing just as well in the ARP 2600 M desktop module. Additionally, this semi-modular analog synth has been equipped with several new features to facilitate integration into modern recording and live setups. These include both filter types from the various versions of the original ARP 2600, USB-A and USB-B ports for directly connecting USB keyboards or USB-MIDI compatible devices, a DIN MIDI input, improved faders, and balanced jack outputs (L/R). The control voltage for triggering the ADSR envelope has been updated to meet modern standards, allowing for seamless integration with existing setups—such as Korg’s Volca series or Eurorack modules.
